Your government issued CAC (or Common Access Card) is pretty invaluable when it comes to being your physical and electronic ID for DoD and other government purposes. However, that doesn't always mean it's convenient. Especially if you are required to access it at home.
And while there are many different actual readers available for you to purchase, they can be difficult and complicated to both properly install and use.
That's why we started HomeCACUse.com! We believe every DoD and government-issued employee should be able to easily access their information when they need it. So we're compiling a master resource for those who are looking for all things related to Home CAC Use--from the best card readers to how to install on Mac and PC.
Disclaimer: I've had some people express their concern over having these links here for the world to see. Here are my thoughts: These are all public facing OWA servers that are located in a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) on a government computer network and require a CAC to access them. So, the links won't help anyone if they don't have a CAC and an email account on that particular network.
Accessing OWA requires the installation steps below and an email account on that network

NMCI has been randomly switching people between the East and West servers. So, if you previously worked on one and it is not working now, try the other one.
REMINDER: Navy personnel, you are not authorized to read your own email via OWA on your own personal computer without the written permission of your local IA Authority IAW the SAAR-N you previously signed.
Also note: You need to sign another agreement before you can read your own email via OWA from a non Government owned computer. As you can see they have a lot of requirements you must meet before before clicking the links below.
